Pearl Care Guide
Everyday Care
Last on, first off
Put pearls on after applying makeup, perfume, or hairspray to avoid contact with harsh chemicals.
Wipe after wear
Use a soft cloth to remove dust or other foreign debris after each wear. The cloth provided in your order will do just fine.
Avoid water and sunlight
Keep pearls away from showers, swimming pools, and direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. The harsh chemicals found in them can damage the outer layer of the pearl.
Wear them often
Believe it or not, pearls benefit from the natural oils of your skin as a natural hydrant. The more you wear, the better!
Storage
Store separately
Keep pearls in a soft pouch or lined box to prevent scratches from harder gemstones or metals. The pouch provided in your order will do just fine.
Avoid airtight containers
Pearls need slight humidity and store them in climate-controlled rooms for the optimal temperature. Never store pearls in plastic bags or sealed boxes as it does not provide airflow.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Gentle cleaning only
Wipe gently with a damp soft cloth. Never use ultrasonic cleaners or other harsh jewelry solutions.
Mild soap option
If needed, use lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap. Rinse and dry with care and avoid submerging pearls in water for extended time.
Handle with intention
Pearls are organic gems, treat them with the same mindfulness and respect they inspire to keep them beautiful for many years to come.
